Our Beliefs
Holy Bible
The Bible is the true center of Christian life and the only infallible authority for faith and practice. Both Old and New Testament are given by direct and verbal inspiration from God (II Timothy 3:16). The divine word of God is preserved completely, transcribed accurately, and without error in the original manuscript.
God
We believe that there is only one living and infinite God, who has revealed Himself in the Bible (Revelation 1:8; Isaiah 44:6). We believe in one God with three eternal persons: God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit. The members of the trinity are equal in nature and essence (John 4:24) but separate in personality (Matthew 3:16, 17; Matthew 28:19–20; II Corinthians 13:14)
God the Father
We believe God the Father is the First person of the trinity and the source of authority (I Corinthians 11:3).
God the Son
We believe that Jesus Christ is God and that He is the second Person of the Triune God. He has always been and was never created (John10: 30; 20:31). We believe that Jesus Christ, without giving up His deity, became man (Philippians 2:6–8). He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin (Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:22–23). We believe that He lived a sinless life (II Corinthians 5:21) and that He provided the necessary atonement for our sins by the “sacrifice of Himself” (Isaiah 53:4–6; I Corinthians 15:3).
God the Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit is God, and the third Person of the Triune God (I Corinthians 6:19; Romans 8:9).We believe that He convicts the world concerning sin, righteousness, and judgement (John 16:8–11). The Holy Spirit is active in the new birth (John 3:5–6), and He indwells and seals all who become children of God through Christ (Ephesians 4:30).
Satan
We believe that Satan is a real and personable being, who is void of truth (John 8:44). He was an exalted angel who rebelled against God (Isaiah 14:12–15). We believe that he is now the unholy god of this age and is destined for eternal punishment in the lake of fire.
The Fall of Man
We believe that when Adam disobeyed God in Eden, he brought about the ruin of the of the entire human race causing it to fall into sin, which brought spiritual, physical, and eternal death. (Genesis 3:1–6; Romans 5:12–19).
Salvation
We believe that salvation is of the Lord (Philippians 1: 6) on the merit of the shed blood of Jesus Christ (Romans 3: 24–26). We believe salvation is a free gift (Ephesians 2:8–10), which excludes any possible merit on the basis of works (Ephesians 2:8–9; II Timothy 1:9; Titus 3:5).
The Church
We believe that a church is an organized assembly of saved, baptized believers meeting for worship, prayer, fellowship, and teaching to practice the ordinances and to carry out the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19, 20; I Corinthians 11:2; Acts 2:41, 42; Matthew 18:15-17; Acts 15).
